The Chief Medical Officer for State Government role provides clinical leadership and oversight to ensure consistent high-quality healthcare across all NaphCare prisons by leading directing managing and evaluating medical services to ensure that contractual obligations and client expectations are met. The position is responsible for guiding and supporting medical providers maintaining compliance with standards including NCCHC/ACA requirements and contributing to operational and clinical excellence throughout the organization.

Under the direction of NaphCares CEO the Chief Medical Officer - State Government provides clinical management and oversight of NaphCares prisons and facility-site Medical Directors and Medical Doctors. Responsibilities may include and not be limited to:
Experience / Requirements / Qualifications
Must hold a current and unrestricted license as a physician in the state of employment and those states as assigned by Employer as well as current DEA registration and valid BLS CPR certification. Current Board certification preferred. Board eligible required. A minimum of 5 years experience in primary care preferred with significant experience providing health care in a local jail setting required. Must possess strong written communication and verbal skills and have strong computer skills.
Must be based in NaphCares corporate headquarters in Birmingham Alabama.
