Mid-Level Design and Analysis Engineer

The Boeing Global Services team is searching for a Mid-Level Design and Analysis Engineer situated in Long Beach California.

This position is to support the C-17 military cargo aircraft operating around the world. The successful candidate has an ability to perform systems integration; create wiring diagrams system schematics block diagrams; read electrical drawings such as wire harness equipment installation; and resolve technical problems. The successful candidate will work with senior engineers to further develop skills. This position requires someone that is self-motivated and has leadership skills/lead potential. C-17 engineering is a customer focused organization and the ability to build strong customer relationships is a plus. Looking for a dynamic person that is ready to develop and take skills to the next level.

Position Responsibilities:

• Develops and maintains wiring diagrams system schematics and block diagrams
• Performs wire design and systems integration for new projects presents design reviews at SRR PDR and CDR to design teams and customers
• Supports analysis and design reviews
• Follows documented processes specifications and procedures that support the design and manufacture of electrical commodities
• Performs technical review of supplier capabilities to facilitate source selection
• Supports the sustainment development and documentation of aircraft systems primarily electrical and electro-mechanical system design (will include interacting directly with USAF customer Field Engineers and C-17 aircraft)
• Performs root cause analysis for field issues provides corrective actions and communicates with USAF customer (including presentations)

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering Computer Science Data Science Mathematics Physics Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
• 3 years of experience in Electrical design and systems integration (including but not limited to Electrical Systems design Wire Design Electrical Equipment Installation and Wire Installation Design)
• Experience with aircraft wiring diagrams and system schematics

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• 3 years of experience in Computer Aided Design (CAD) utilizing model-based definition preferably Unigraphics
• 3 years of experience with Siemens Capital tool
• 2 years of experience with Teamcenter drawing release tool
