Join the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) and the Arkansas Childrens Hospital (ACH) in Northwest Arkansas as a Advance Practice Provider (APP) playing a crucial role in delivering exceptional patient-centered care to pediatric patients. This dynamic position offers the opportunity to work closely with attending surgeons in Pediatric General Surgery Pediatric Trauma Surgery Pediatric Orthopedics and Pediatric Otolaryngology services.
As a APP you will assist physicians with clinic visits perform procedures round on inpatients and manage all aspects of patient care for surgical services. You will also serve as a surgical first assist collaborating with attending surgeons on care planning and inpatient management. Additionally you will receive training in spine conditions to enhance your ability to provide comprehensive care.

Qualifications:
PA:
- Masters Degree in Physician Assistant (PA) studies
- Certified as a Physicians Assistant by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants
- Physician Assistant certified in the State of Arkansas
- Current BLS certification or must successfully obtain certification within the first 30 days of employment.
OR
APRN:
- Masters in Nursing from an accredited School/College of Nursing
- APRN License
- Arkansas RN License
- Current BLS certification or must successfully obtain certification within the first 30 days of employment.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSAs):
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration abilities.
- Proficiency in diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
- Ability to manage patient care and collaborate with attending surgeons.
- Experience in surgical assisting and inpatient care
Additional Information:
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist physicians in clinic organizing visits performing procedures and rounding on inpatients as needed.
- Augment physicians ability to provide medical services by collecting and documenting data conducting diagnostic and therapeutic procedures and ordering and scheduling lab studies and consultations.
- Manage all aspects of patient care for surgical services including new consultations history and physical examinations care planning daily rounding lab and imaging interpretation and discharge planning.
- Serve as surgical first assist for the above surgical services.
- Collaborate with attending surgeons on initial care planning and inpatient management.
