We offer one of the only Counselor Education Programs that provides students with a combination of in-person hybrid and online classroom delivery options in the state and continue to be a leading program in the Northeast. We are seeking applicants for a tenure-track Assistant Professor for the Fall 2026 welcome applicants in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.
Graduates of the clinical mental health program qualify to serve as licensed clinical professional counselors (LCPC). New faculty members should possess expertise in counseling theories skills and foundation counseling courses to support students in achieving these licenses and certifications.
The targeted starting date for this position is Fall 2026and will pay a base salary of $65000 plus benefits. When hired candidates must reside within a 90-minute commutable distance from the USM requirement is essential for the ability to participate in supporting and building upon our university culture of student focused every day and allows for regular participation in on-campus activities meetings and fulfills the responsibilities of the role effectively.
