Key Requirements
- Cloud Computing (Azure / AWS / GCP): Deep understanding of cloud architecture and concepts; platform-agnostic. Azure is preferred but not mandatory.
- Event-Driven Architecture and Distributed Systems: Must have significant hands-on experience; lack of exposure is a major concern.
- Databases: Strong SQL expertise for optimization and performance tuning. NoSQL knowledge is a plus but not essential.
- Infrastructure as Code: Understands concepts of IaC (Terraform ARM etc.); conceptual understanding is more important than specific tooling.
- Scalability and Observability: Demonstrated experience working with high-traffic low-latency systems; understands key performance metrics.
- CI/CD: Deep understanding of continuous delivery and integration practices regardless of the specific tool.
- Technical Leadership: Guides architecture decisions mentors engineers and leads design sessions without line management responsibilities.
- Communication: Clear structured communicator who can explain technical topics effectively.
