Job Summary
Life Enrichment Coordinator
Winter Growth is a non-profit committed to providing outstanding programs for our daycare clients. We are looking for a Life Enrichment Coordinator to manage our Life Enrichment Department for seniors and adults with disabilities. Our program is designed to support both the physical and cognitive needs of our clients supporting them in achieving independence dignity and life satisfaction. The specialist is a part of an outstanding interdisciplinary team that works together to ensure our clients receive excellent care and have the opportunity to participate in a person-centered therapeutic recreation program.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work with team to develop and implement programs for seniors and adults with disabilities based on person-centered philosophy.
- Manage calendar ensuring there is a balance of appropriate activities scheduled each day.
- Responsible to coordinate outside entertainers and other activity consultants.
- Able to plan and organize work to obtain effective use of personnel materials and equipment.
- Train supervise and evaluate team members and volunteers.
- Use pertinent background information about participants served to ensure programs are meeting their needs and interests.
- Participate in Interdisciplinary and Care Plan Meetings.
- Able to monitor evaluate and determine effectiveness of programming.
- Keep accurate statistical reports of activities offered and level of participation for person served.
- Maintains knowledge of current therapeutic trends techniques and methods.
QUALIFICATIONS
BS/BA Degree in Therapeutic Recreation; Community Recreation and Sports Management art therapy music therapy occupational therapy or related field (preferred)
Three years of experience performing therapeutic recreation work with seniors adults with disabilities or other special populations.

Pay: From $50000.00 per year
