Job Overview
The Janitor will maintain appearance of the Distribution Center champion the Bobs Way in all interactions and observe all safety requirements of Bobs Discount will include:

• Clean building floors by sweeping mopping scrubbing or vacuuming them.
• Gather and empty trash in pre-determined areas.
• Service clean and supply restrooms in the warehouse.
• Clean and polish furniture and fixtures.
• Clean and stock all water coolers as per schedule.
• Clean windows glass partitions and mirrors using soapy water or other cleaners sponges and squeegees.
• Mix water and detergents or acids in containers to prepare cleaning solutions according to specifications.
• Steam-clean or shampoo carpets as needed.
• Strip seal finish and polish floors.
• Clean laboratory equipment such as glassware and metal instruments using solvents brushes rags and power cleaning equipment.
• Drive vehicles required to perform or travel to cleaning work.
• Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment in order to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.
• Monitor building security and safety by performing such tasks as locking doors after operating hours and checking electrical appliance use to ensure that hazards are not created.
• Notify managers concerning the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systems.
• Remove snow from sidewalks driveways and parking areas using snowplows snow blowers and snow shovels and spread snow melting chemicals.
• Requisition supplies and equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties.
• Set up arrange and remove decorations tables chairs ladders and scaffolding to prepare facilities for events such as banquets and meetings.
• Spray insecticides and fumigants to prevent insect and rodent infestation.
• Advise of repairs/replacements items needed to maintain regular use of all machines.
• All other duties as assigned.

Schedule: 9:30PM - 2:30AM Tuesday - Friday

Compensation

• Starting hourly pay at $16.50 - $18.00/hour (Based on experience)

Minimum Qualifications

• 1 year of custodial experience or any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge skills and abilities have been achieved
• High School Diploma or equivalent experience in a Warehouse atmosphere
• Ability to communicate proactively and effectively including comprehending and communicating detailed instructions reading and writing and having knowledge of commonly used concepts practices and procedures as required by the position.
• Skilled at multi-tasking and managing competing priorities
• Must be able to work flexible hours determined by the needs of the department including weekends and evenings
• Knowledge of cleaning equipment products techniques and standards
• Must be at least 18 years old to be considered for employment with Bobs

Physical Demands

• Able to sit walk stand bend stoop kneel reach twist push pull climb balance crouch push and handle and move items weighing up to 50 lbs without assistance.
• Ability to move throughout all areas of the distribution center.
• Move objects up to 250 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodations
• Stand and walk continuously to perform job functions.
• Standing walking lifting and arranging product: 90%
• Sitting: 5%
• Desk or phone work: 5%
