Airgas is hiring for a Shipper/Receiver 2 in Plunsteadville PA!

Perform all functions related to the preparation and shipment of chemical products manufactured at the facility as well as equipment used in the engineering and maintenance projects at facilities throughout the country.

Prepares and receives shipments including all required documentation for compliance to US DOT regulations and international shipments.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Performs all job assignments in a safe manner according to Airgas SOPs.
Verifying results from lab and provide certifications
Determining shipping methods
International shipments (IMDG IATA and Airgas Export Compliances)
Match work orders to the appropriate delivery ticket generated
Maintaining Shipping Supplies
Create deliveries that dont automatically create in SAP
Create Bills Of Lading using AFS site
Receive STOs
Scraping labeling and painting of cylinders
Moving of cylinders by usage of a cylinder cart and/ or forklift.
Load and unloading of trucks
Match up receiving returns with common carrier paperwork
Make sure all documentation matches cylinders
Make sure cylinders go out in a neat and presentable condition
Cylinder sorting
Basic knowledge of CFR 49
Keep a clean and orderly work area
Understanding Special permits
Basic computer operations for data entry and training
Utilizing basic calculations
Other duties as assigned.

Ability to coordinate efforts with multiple departments.
Aptitude for hi h precision work.

Ability to be Certified to do all paperwork for Domestic IMDG and IATA
Ability to achieve HM 126 qualification
Ability to operate forklift and maintain forklift certifications.
Ability to Follow Directions Make Decisions Work in a team and be Reliable.
High school diploma or equivalent and a minimum 1 year experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word Excel PowerPoint and Outlook) or equivalent software.
Ability to add subtract multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers common fractions and decimals.
Ability to work all shifts; subject to all weather conditions.
