Mechanical Engineer
Location: Andover
Salary: 45000 - 50000
Hours: Day Shift 40 Hours per week
Benefits: 22 days holiday plus Bank Holidays
About the Role
Syntech Recruitment are partnered with a highly recognizable Electronics Manufacturer who are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join their Engineering Technologies team supporting the design and development of components tooling and equipment for semiconductor packaging.
Youll take products from concept through to prototype and production ensuring strong quality and engineering standards throughout.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop mechanical components tooling fixtures and test equipment
Support feasibility studies and new product development
Work with project teams to support cost quality and lead-time proposals
Attend customer meetings onsite and at client locations
Take designs from concept to production using DFM/DFA principles
Support product testing verification and reporting
Promote continuous improvement and quality standards
Provide technical support to manufacturing teams
About You
5 years engineering experience (semiconductor or high-tech preferred)
HND minimum in Mechanical Electrical or Production Engineering (degree desirable)
Strong CAD skills (SolidWorks preferred)
Good knowledge of engineering materials & manufacturing processes
Experience with DoE problem solving and root cause analysis
Strong communication skills and ability to prioritise workload
