Our client a well-established business advisory firm is seeking a Seniot Tax Team Leader to join their growing team.
Location: On site - Mosta
Responsibilities:
As a Senior Tax Team Leader your broad responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Manage a small team of tax professionals and liaise with clients and tax authorities on a daily basis.
- Ensure the timely and accurate preparation and submission of tax returns and related filings.
- Supervise mentor and develop team members providing leadership and training.
- Stay updated on local and international tax laws and provide advice to clients accordingly.
- Ensure clients remain continuously compliant with income tax legislation.
- Support business development initiatives and contribute to the growth of the tax service line.
- Collaborate with internal teams to promote tax services through seminars webinars and other channels.
- Conduct research to identify new opportunities and enhance service offerings.
Requirements:
- Fully qualified holding either a Masters in Accountancy degree or an ACCA qualification.
- Minimum of three years experience in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of Maltese income tax matters including but not limited to tax payment and refund mechanisms fiscal unity capital gains tax notional interest deduction and double taxation relief.
- Good understanding of the international tax landscape including ATAD OECD Treaties the Interest and Royalties Directive and the Parent-Subsidiary Directive.
- Results-driven with excellent planning and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and effective time management skills.
- Excellent command of English both written and spoken.
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills ensuring high-quality service delivery.
