The Role
Youll play a key part in supporting high-quality teaching and learning by preparing maintaining and organising practical resources across Biology Chemistry and Physics. The role also involves supporting experiments in class ensuring equipment is safe and well-maintained and helping to develop new practical activities for lessons.
The Department
The Science department is a friendly professional and collaborative team with strong links across all key stages. Youll be supported by experienced staff and given opportunities to develop your technical skills through in-house training.
Responsibilities
- Preparing and setting up apparatus and materials for practical lessons.
- Maintaining lab stock and ensuring safe storage and disposal of chemicals.
- Supporting teachers during experiments and demonstrations.
- Maintaining equipment and reporting faults promptly.
- Ensuring compliance with Health and Safety procedures (CLEAPSS guidance).
