Registered Nurse Medical/Surgical (Travel)
- Location: Utica NY 13502
- Shift: Night 6:30 PM 7:00 AM
- Duration: 13-weeks
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
- Weekly Pay Rate: $2016 - $2232; (Negotiable based on experience)
Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Medical/Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week travel assignment in Utica NY. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of recent Med/Surg experience and prior travel nursing experience. The RN will provide high-quality patient care demonstrate clinical excellence and adapt quickly in a fast-paced hospital environment.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver patient care utilizing the nursing process (assessment planning implementation and evaluation).
- Monitor record and report symptoms or changes in patients conditions.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure effective patient care delivery.
- Educate patients and families about diagnoses treatments and self-care practices.
- Maintain accurate and timely electronic documentation using EPIC EMR.
- Float to other units within scope of practice as required.
Required Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum 2 years recent Medical/Surgical RN experience.
- Travel Experience: Required Must document previous travel assignments.
- Licensure:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) License in New York State.
- Verification of all active RN licenses.
- Certifications:
- Current AHA BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
- EMR Experience: EPIC required.
