Job Summary:

The Echo Tech will perform echocardiograms and related procedures in an acute care hospital setting. This role requires a minimum of 3 years of experience and involves on-call responsibilities including potential weekend coverage. The Echo Tech will work within their scope of practice to meet facility needs focusing on adult patients in acute care outpatient ER and ICU environments.

Responsibilities:

- Perform adult echocardiograms including 3-D Echo Bubble Study Imaging with Contrast Agents M-Mode Pharmacologic Stress Echo Portable Studies Routine and Treadmill Stress Echo.
- Adhere to isolation precautions.
- Maintain and clean equipment.
- Document patient care and related duties appropriately.
- Answer unit phone and direct calls accordingly.
- Coordinate equipment/supply needs.
- Notify appropriate department of equipment malfunction.
Required Skills & Certifications:

- Minimum 3 years of experience as an Echo Tech.
- Experience in Adult Acute Care Adult Outpatient ER and ICU settings.
- Proficiency in 3-D Echo Bubble Study Imaging with Contrast Agents M-Mode Pharmacologic Stress Echo Portable Studies Routine and Treadmill Stress Echo.
- Knowledge of Isolation Precautions.
- ARDMS or CCI certification preferred.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:

- Philips equipment experience.
- Cerner charting experience.
Special Considerations:

- On-call requirement of 4-5 days per 6-week schedule potentially including one weekend day.
- May be placed on-call in lieu of being called off.
- Level I trauma center.
- Magnet hospital/facility.
Scheduling:
- Shift: 0730-1800.
- Block scheduling may be accommodated but is not guaranteed.
