Job Summary

Job Title: Graphic Designer
Duration: 6 Month

Shift timing/schedule: Hybrid; M-F; 8am-5pm

Summary

We are seeking a skilled graphic designer for a 6-month fixed-term position who can transform concepts into compelling visual representations across both print and electronic media including a significant focus on website design and page creation. The ideal candidate should be proficient in current design software particularly Adobe Creative Suite with expertise in all phases of the design process from concept to final delivery. This role involves collaborating with multiple teams translating ideas into designs that align with branding and marketing strategies and working on various projects simultaneously including branding for podcasts and video series.

Key responsibilities include brainstorming and strategizing with teams or clients to create high-quality designs maintaining brand consistency and managing project materials using a content management system. A large component of this role will involve working on the companys website creating updating and managing web pages to ensure a seamless user experience. The candidate will also be responsible for formatting essays in InDesign identifying and resolving design process flaws ensuring designs meet organizational standards and staying updated with design trends and market intelligence.

In addition the role will include creating social media graphics designing elements for email invitations and preparing print-ready files for local vendors. The ability to work independently while meeting deadlines is crucial. Excellent communication and organization skills are a must.

Key Responsibilities

Graphic Design & Creative (50%)

Conceptualize and design digital and print assets (e.g. event collateral social graphics web banners templates postcards brochures) using Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop Illustrator InDesign).
Develop visually compelling layouts that align with our brand standards and elevate campaigns across multiple platforms.
Collaborate with colleagues to translate complex ideas into clear engaging visual designs.
Support the development of new creative concepts and visual identities for special projects and campaigns.

Web & Digital Communications (50%)

Create edit and publish content in our Drupal-based website maintaining consistency and accuracy.
Assist in sending a daily e-newsletter in HubSpot ensuring excellent design accessibility and attention to detail.
Maintain consistent branding across all web and email communications.
Work closely with editorial marketing and communications teams to meet daily deadlines and campaign goals.
Contribute to other digital content or design projects as needed.

Requirements

3 years of professional graphic design experience with a strong portfolio demonstrating visual creativity layout skills and brand execution across digital formats
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop Illustrator InDesign).
Basic web/content management skills - familiarity with CMS platforms and/or basic HTML (experience in Drupal and HubSpot a plus but not required).
Strong eye for detail typography and composition.
Ability to manage daily deadlines and balance multiple priorities independently.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Familiarity with web accessibility best practices is a plus.

Education & Experience (Required):

Bachelors degree in related field and one year of relevant experience in equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
