Job Description
Ohio University Regional Campuses are seeking part-time instructors to teach a variety of in-person English courses at the undergraduate level at the Chillicothe and Eastern (St. Clairsville OH) campuses/ Preference will be given to applicants who can teach the following course: ENG 1510 Writing and Rhetoric I: Foundations This course focuses on threshold concepts (underlying theories necessary to develop expertise) for writing such as rhetorical situation genre and discourse community. It employs a workshop model that includes discussion of student writing to support reflective work expository work work in various genres and research. Positions will include teaching from 3 credit hours to up to 11 credit hours per term. Future possibility for various delivery modes including in person/face-to-face hybrid or via technology. This position is in-person and not remote. This is a part-time position eligible for sick leave and retirement.
Minimum Qualifications
Masters degree in English or closely related field at time of application and a cohesive set of 18 semester credit hours of discipline relevant graduate course work.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience teaching undergraduate courses. Statement on teaching philosophy and experience with teaching of writing.
