Our clientis seeking an Electrical Engineer to support their production operations in Lafayette IN. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on engineer who enjoys solving complex problems improving equipment reliability and driving automation within a world-class manufacturing environment.

What Youll Do as an Electrical Engineer:

As an Electrical Engineer youll design plan and implement projects to modernize upgrade and improve electrical systems throughout the plant. Your work will ensure efficient safe and reliable operation of the equipment used to produce high-quality magnet wire for automotive energy and industrial applications.

Electrical Engineer Key Responsibilities:

Design and manage electrical engineering projects ensuring they meet cost safety and schedule goals
Upgrade and maintain plant electrical systems including control panels drives PLCs temperature controllers and monitoring systems
Program troubleshoot and optimize PLC and HMI systems (Allen-Bradley Siemens and others)
Collaborate with maintenance and production teams to diagnose and resolve electrical/electronic issues
Recommend and manage capital projects for process improvements and cost reductions
Support safety environmental and reliability initiatives through engineering design and system improvements
Develop and maintain documentation schematics and equipment records
Work with purchasing and vendors to source materials and ensure timely project delivery

What Were Looking For in an Electrical Engineer:

Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology or an Associates degree with 3 years of industrial experience
Hands-on experience in industrial electrical systems and equipment design
Strong knowledge of PLC programming VFD controls HMI development and automation systems
Experience with software such as RSLogix 500/5000 Studio 5000 FactoryTalk View Siemens Step-7 and AutoCAD
Understanding of electrical codes power distribution and safety systems
Strong project management analytical and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple projects while providing plant-wide technical support

Preferred Qualifications:

Six Sigma Certification or continuous improvement experience
