This on-site contract position offers a unique opportunity to provide exceptional patient care in a dynamic staffing environment.
As a Gastroenterology Locum MD/DO you will play a vital role in diagnosing and treating patients with gastrointestinal disorders. Your expertise will contribute to our mission of delivering high-quality healthcare services while ensuring patient satisfaction. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of patients with gastrointestinal issues
- Diagnose and develop treatment plans for various gastroenterological conditions
- Perform endoscopic procedures and other specialized treatments
- Collaborate with nursing and support staff to ensure quality patient care
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Educate patients and families on gastrointestinal health and preventive measures
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care
- Stay current with advancements in gastroenterology and related fields
Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Valid medical license to practice in the state of New York
- Board certification or eligibility in Gastroenterology
- Experience in a clinical setting with gastroenterology patients
- Strong diagnostic skills and clinical judgment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to providing compassionate patient care
Level II trauma
Schedule: 7:30a - 3:30p or 7:30a-5:30p 4-5 days per week
1:8 call rotation
Setting: Inpatient and outpatient
Daily Volume: 12-18 per day
Full scope of GI cases
ERCP and EUS preferred
Support Staff: APPs Hospitalist on-call operator IR
EMR: Meditech and Provation
Must be board-certified or board-eligible
