Job Summary and Responsibilities

The Outpatient Infusion Scheduler is a crucial member of the healthcare team responsible for meticulously coordinating and scheduling patient appointments for various infusion therapies in an outpatient setting. This role requires exceptional organizational skills attention to detail strong communication abilities and a compassionate approach to patient interaction. The scheduler ensures that patients receive timely and appropriate treatment while optimizing infusion center resources and adhering to clinical guidelines and insurance requirements. This position also may include other duties as assigned by Oncology Supervisor and the Oncology Nurse Manager.

Job Requirements

High School Diploma or GED required. Associates Degree or completion of a Medical Office Administration program preferred.

Prefer one to two years of hospital (medical field) experience with knowledge of medical terminology

Preferably has experience in procedures; along with clerical experience and demonstrated computer skills.

Ability to speak concisely and clearly and communicate effectively with the public and co-workers.
