The Valve Technician is responsible for the inspection maintenance repair and refurbishment of control and manual valves used in industrial systems. The role involves performing mechanical and electrical troubleshooting installation and testing of valves to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards. The technician must be able to work independently follow technical procedures and ensure the reliability of valve operations at client worksites.
Perform repair overhaul and refurbishment of control and manual valves according to manufacturer and company specifications.
Remove install and reassemble various types of valves ensuring all parts meet operational and safety requirements.
Conduct mechanical and electrical troubleshooting inspection and functional testing of valves at site or workshop locations.
Maintain detailed records of repairs tests and calibrations performed.
Follow all site-specific and safety procedures including obtaining necessary safety training and certifications.
Inspect valve performance identify worn or damaged components and recommend corrective actions.
Ensure quality control and compliance with project and client standards during all valve maintenance activities.
Collaborate with supervisors and engineers to plan valve maintenance schedules and ensure timely completion of tasks.
Handle tools and equipment safely maintaining proper storage and cleanliness in the work area.
Provide technical assistance or training to junior technicians when required.

Education: Technical or vocational certificate in Mechanical Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering (or equivalent).
Experience: Minimum 35 years of experience in control and manual valve refurbishment repair and maintenance.
Technical Skills:
Hands-on experience in valve disassembly inspection lapping testing and calibration.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
Skilled in using mechanical and electrical diagnostic tools.
Understanding of control systems instrumentation and valve automation.
Other Skills:
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Good communication skills in English (both written and verbal).
Adherence to safety and site procedures at all times.
