Job Summary
Junior Mortgage Processor (On-Site Schaumburg IL)
A growing mortgage company in Schaumburg is seeking a Junior Mortgage Processor to support its in-house lending operations. This role is ideal for someone looking to build a career in mortgage processing gain hands-on experience and grow within a supportive fast-paced environment.
Review incoming loan applications for accuracy and completeness
Collect and verify borrower documentation (income assets employment and credit)
Communicate with loan officers underwriters and borrowers to gather missing items
Maintain and update loan files within the loan origination system
Prepare loan files for submission to underwriting
Track loan status and follow up to ensure timely closings
Maintain compliance with internal procedures and federal lending regulations
Provide general administrative support to the processing and operations team
1 year of experience in mortgage banking or related financial services (preferred not required)
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
Comfortable working with numbers and sensitive financial data
Proficiency with Microsoft Office; familiarity with LOS software (e.g. Encompass) is a plus
Ability to thrive in a deadline-driven collaborative environment
Full-time on-site in Schaumburg IL
MondayFriday schedule
