The Remote Receptionist / Front Desk Clerk serves as the first point of contact for members prospective clients and business partners of Anytime Fitness. This role provides high-quality customer service and administrative support by handling phone calls emails and online inquiries as well as assisting with membership and scheduling needs.

The ideal candidate is friendly organized and tech-savvy with strong communication skills and a genuine passion for helping others achieve their fitness goals even while working remotely.

Key Responsibilities

Member Communication & Support

Answer phone calls emails and online messages promptly and professionally.

Greet and assist members virtually providing information about memberships promotions and club services.

Respond to inquiries about billing scheduling and club policies or direct them to the appropriate staff member.

Support the onboarding of new members by processing digital membership applications and paperwork.

Handle customer concerns or complaints with professionalism and empathy escalating as needed.


Administrative & Clerical Tasks

Maintain and update member records and databases in club management systems (e.g. Club OS Mindbody or CRM software).

Assist with scheduling appointments virtual consultations and personal training sessions.

Process membership changes renewals and cancellations as requested.

Prepare and send digital communications such as reminders announcements and welcome messages.

Support local and regional management teams with general administrative duties.


Operations & Coordination

Collaborate remotely with club staff to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

Maintain an organized digital filing system for administrative records.

Track member inquiries feedback and support requests for reporting purposes.

Uphold the Anytime Fitness brands customer service and communication standards.

Requirements

Education & Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent required; associates degree in business communication or related field preferred.

12 years of experience in customer service reception or administrative support (remote experience preferred).

Experience in the fitness hospitality or service industry is an advantage.


Skills & Competencies:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Strong organizational multitasking and time management abilities.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Google Workspace and CRM or scheduling software.

Positive and professional demeanor with a customer-focused attitude.

Ability to work independently and manage tasks efficiently in a remote environment.

Reliable internet connection and basic technical troubleshooting skills.


Working Conditions

Fully remote role; must have access to a quiet professional workspace and reliable internet.

Standard business hours; occasional flexibility may be required to accommodate club hours or time zones.

Regular communication via phone video meetings chat and email.

Required Skills:

Education & Experience: Bachelors degree in Business Administration Sports Management or related field (preferred). 35 years of experience in fitness club or hospitality management. Proven track record in sales operations and team leadership. Skills & Competencies: Strong leadership and interpersonal skills. Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities. Knowledge of fitness industry trends equipment and best practices. Proficiency in CRM and club management software. Ability to manage budgets and analyze performance metrics. Working Conditions Full-time position; may require evening and weekend availability. Fast-paced environment with frequent interaction with staff and members.
