Our Macon Georgia farm is the most advanced greenhouse in the state delivering fresh locally grown leafy greens to Georgians. Spanning nearly 480000 square feet this facility will produce approximately 6 million pounds of leafy greens annually.

Specifically you will:

• Perform routine maintenance on a range of greenhouse equipment/filters to maintain life support systems
• Understand targets for greenhouse equipment and aid in troubleshooting climate irrigation and fertigation
• Weigh and mix proper fertilizer recipes
• Maintaining inventory on fertilizer spare parts and filters
• Shipping and receiving responsibility for O2 Inventory and parts
• Support on taking samples for lab tests
• Audit greenhouse sanitation to prevent growth of pests and algae
• Learn fundamentals of climate control software to report issues to grower
• Record data and maintain records
• Will learn entry level grower responsibilities in role including but not limited to:
  • Crop monitoring
  • Pest management
  • Fertigation strategies
  • Light R&D
• Notifies Head Grower if there is a potential issue immediately
• Other duties as assigned by Head Grower

The Ideal Candidate:

• Minimum 1 year of experience in greenhouse production setting OR 2-3 years maintenance experience
  • Plumbing and automation experience preferred
• Required to on-call and able to respond to emergency situations
• Must have reliable form of transportation
• Be able to work alone or as a part of a team to ensure our baby greens are safe
• Ability to establish and maintain effective communications and working relationships with the other departments
• Detail oriented
• Effective time-management skills and ability to multi-task
• Basic computer skills
• Willingness to learn a variety of tools equipment and techniques
• Sufficient strength and physical dexterity to perform duties and responsibilities of this position including heavy lifting up to 50 lbs
• Lead by example take pride in what you do and set the highest standards for quality efficiency and productivity
