Custodian

The Custodian position is responsible for the cleanliness of the companies facilities in both the manufacturing and office areas of the facility. This position will primarily work the afternoon and/or midnight shift.

Key Result Accountabilities

• Responsible for general cleaning of buildings locker rooms restrooms including buffing dusting cleaning vents sweeping mopping vacuuming emptying trash and washing windows.
• Carry out heavy deep cleaning tasks and special projects.
• Stock and maintain cleaning supplies.
• Assists other departments as requested including moving furniture and equipment and unloading and storing supplies.
• Responds promptly to facility needs; responds to requests for service and assistance; meets commitments.
• Adheres to safety and security procedures; reports potentially unsafe conditions or maintenance issues ; uses equipment and materials properly.
• Reviews cleaning supply inventory.
• Completes all other job duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• One to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Previous custodial or janitorial experience in an industrial or office setting is a plus.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies.
• Ability to handle equipment used for cleaning.
• Ability to follow work instructions from supervisor.
• Must pay attention to detail.
• Must be able to work rotating shifts.
