Job Title: Radiology Technologist
Location: North Bergen NJ 07047
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: 5x8-Hour Shifts
Schedule: Monday Wednesday Thursday (10:00 AM 6:30 PM); Saturday Sunday (2:30 PM 11:00 PM)
Pay Rate: $2454 Weekly Gross
Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Radiology Technologist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality diagnostic radiographic examinations with minimal supervision ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the process.
Key Responsibilities:
Produce accurate diagnostic radiographic images by properly positioning patients and selecting appropriate technical factors.
Operate imaging equipment safely and effectively for various procedures based on physician orders.
Restrict radiation exposure using cones and collimation techniques to protect unaffected areas of the body.
Perform portable x-ray exams in patient rooms operating rooms and emergency departments as required.
Identify and label radiographic images accurately with patient information and orientation markers.
Process review and maintain patient images and documentation according to established protocols.
Maintain cleanliness organization and readiness of the radiology suite and associated equipment.
Prepare radiopaque contrast media and assist physicians with administration during imaging procedures.
Handle administrative tasks including scheduling patient education image filing and record maintenance.
Provide physical assistance to patients with mobility needs ensuring comfort and safety during positioning and transfers.
Follow all safety and infection control protocols while delivering compassionate patient-centered care.
Identify the needs of diverse patient populations and adapt communication and care delivery accordingly.
Adhere to institutional standards regulatory requirements and professional ethics in all duties.
Required Qualifications:
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent (Required).
Completion of an AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology (Required).
Completion of clinical and A.R.R.T. requirements (Required).
Certifications & Licensure:
Preferred Skills & Attributes:
Strong knowledge of radiation safety and imaging principles.
Excellent patient care communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in fast-paced high-acuity healthcare environments.
Proficiency in operating radiologic and portable imaging equipment.
Dependable organized and able to maintain professional composure under pressure.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift at least 5 lbs. push/pull a minimum of 10 lbs. and stand for extended periods (minimum of 6 hours daily).
Must demonstrate manual dexterity and attention to detail during imaging procedures.
