The position

We are currently looking for a material planner for supply chain team in Suzhou China.

The material planner will be responsible for assigned factory material replenishment activities by driving on daily SQDIP metrics to align with production/NPI/LTB/EOL requirement to bring material replenishment into a strong inventory days of supply OTD proactive and positive shape of safety-first & continuous improvement culture by a fully engagement.

This role is ideally suited for a passionate people with a strong planning background. You will use your ability to connect with all stakeholders self-motivate with all metrics with cross functional team to drive the best results while maintaining a key contribution for supply chain operation.

In this role you will report to material supervisor.

Primary responsibilities

You will be responsible for:

You will be fully cooperating and collaborating with the operation-related function such as finish good planning team production sourcing quality process & equipment etc. to enable the daily production operation smoothly and to quickly react with respect to internal or / and external customers requirement & expectations.

Your daily work includes:

  • Inventory Management: Responsible for inventory analysis control with solid actions forecast inventory value. Continuously improve and optimize inventory structure reduce inventory turn over days taking into account quality delivery and cost. Play a key role in E&O inventory review root cause analysis and development of action plans to reduce excess inventory. Manage inventory of new and obsolete products with key business partners through the product lifecycle management process. Plan reasonable safety stock level which guarantee supply and hit inventory target.
  • Delivery rescheduling: Initiative release suitable PO Qty & delivery time according to product/material forecast demand& actual WO demand pay special attention to NPI EOL ECR materials or product communicate with related cross functional colleagues including production planning CS sourcing production etc. work order Qty & delivery schedule adjustment should be included if job scope including Strain Gauge.
  • Material Supply Risk assessment and pre-Management: Manage supplier delivery performance and improve OTD OTR continuously. Minimize pass due PO PR supplier payment failure returns& exchanges release or cancel PO to protect company benefits and avoid lose. Pre-Alert the impact caused by supply and demand changes timely and take action to minimize business impact. Report and escalation timely for those cases that will impact material & FG & sales revenues.
  • Material Master Data Accuracy Management: maintain SAP key material data review & correct the existing master data especially NPI/Phase out/EOL/ECR material changes. master data including but not limited with PN description Leadtime MOQ supplier name etc.
  • Continuous improvement of self working efficiency and support other depts lean projects to improve on time delivery (OTR&OTP) and inventory KPI push sourcing to optimize and reduce MOQ Leadtime maximally matching future products & material forecast requirements.
  • Well-organize the comprehensive communication with the team to fully align with company policy-related fully implement all actions defined by management team.
  • Other task assigned by supervisor and high management

Professional qualifications

  • Bachelors degree or above in supply chain planning understanding .
  • 5 years or above planning experience in manufacturing operation function working experience in semi-conductor industry is preferred
  • Be familiar with lean tool practices such as VSM Problem-solving Kanban etc.

Personal skills

  • Strong sense of responsibilities and initiatives.
  • Excellent communication and strong execution fluent verbal English.
  • Self motivated and strong teamwork and collaborative sense.
  • Good excel skills IT basic know-how knowledge (Microsoft Office SAP etc.).
  • Integrity and Credibility Team work Autonomous Proactive Rigorous High integrity and availability high working capacity Good communication efficiency ability to work under pressure.
