Your Role

An exciting opportunity exists to join the team at Shalom College Bundaberg in the position ofAdministration Assistant (Community Relations).This is a term-time continuing position for 26hpw commencing from 19 January 2026.

The Administration Assistant (Community Relations) will assist in the production of promotional materials manage social media and website content and support the coordination of school events. The successful candidate will engage with stakeholders respond to inquiries and maintain a positive school image.

About you

The successful applicant will have:

  • An understanding of and a commitment to the ethos of Catholic Education.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  • The ability to work well either individually or collaboratively as part of a team and to accept direction and support.
  • The ability to adapt and be flexible within a dynamic educational setting.
  • Tertiary qualifications at Certificate level (or working towards) or equivalent knowledge qualifications and experience relevant to this role would be highly regarded.

Mandatory Requirements

  • A current valid Blue Card under the Working with Children (Risk Management and Screening) Act 2000 (WWC Act) and valid Suitability Notice is a requirement of the position.
