The Burnes Center for Social Change at Northeastern University advances real-world impact by teaching individuals and institutions the skills needed to design and implement innovative and equitable solutions to our hardest problems. The Center leads high-impact projects designed to affect real world change in priority areas including labor and economic justice strengthening democracy and improving educational outcomes. The Burnes Center was officially founded in 2022 in honor of Nonnie Burnes who left behind a remarkable legacy defined by her selfless commitment to making real change in her communities and around the world.
The Burnes Center has brought together some of the most impactful social change leaders in the world to direct this work.
