JOB SUMMARY:

Direct and oversee the operations associated with materials management to include receiving warehousing distribution material handling obsolete inventory MRO inventory and inventory accuracy. Develop and manage the business unit budget for capital salary and expense.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Direct and oversee the greater Materials department and function
  • Responsible for physical location and accuracy of all inventory records. Coordinate the cycle count inventory verification activities and all daily inventory transactions.
  • Work collaboratively with Manufacturing Purchasing and Quality on all matters affecting materials operations (inventories costs production storage space manpower etc.)
  • Coordinate the implementation of corporate goals strategies and action plans as they relate to materials operations. Audit operations and financial.
  • Coordinate the implementation of systems changes in materials operations at each plant. Create and maintain documentation of processes and procedures.
  • Work with and interact with Purchasing Manufacturing Accounting Engineering and Scheduling to ensure conformity and consistency of materials management objectives.
  • Coordinate with the Materials Supervisors all recommendations on capital equipment facilities and budget items. Prepare and submit yearly capital requirements and yearly budget.
  • Coordinate selection of new and replacement personnel for materials operations.
  • Responsible for department budget
  • Ensure timely movement of materials from Receiving to Manufacturing.
  • Communicate company goals objectives and information to staff.
  • Strive for efficiency and continuous improvement in all activities.
  • Ensure staff has tools instructions priorities and motivation to complete assigned tasks.
  • Train motivate and mentor staff to ensure readiness for promotions as opportunities arise.
  • Perform the duties of element leader for the ISO elements assigned.
  • Produce adequate measurements to ensure inventory levels are properly maintained to meet budgets.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelors Degree in Operations Management or related field.
  • Minimum 8 years relevant experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 10 years of relevant experience in a industrial manufacturing setting.
  • Proven track record of inspiring and developing direct reports through coaching and mentoring culture

Pay Range:

$132500.00 - $233100.00

The above pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target pay for the position across all U.S. locations. Within this range individual pay is determined by various factors including the scope and responsibilities of the role the candidates experience education and skills as well as the equity of pay among team members in similar positions.
