Job Summary
- Measures angular dimensions radii contours clearances threads wall thickness and other characteristics as stipulated on the inspection plan
- Tests units for fit of moving parts (i.e nuts and sleeves)
- Verifies gauges and measuring instruments for conformance to calibration intervals
- Understands engineering drawings and confers with management or engineering staff to determine quality requirements
- Inspects product at specified stages in production process and tests products for variety of qualities such as dimensions mechanical electrical or coatings (visual)
- Identifies and reports changes to existing quality or production procedures to achieve optimum quality
- Validates conformance or identifies non-conformances and reports findings to engineering and management
- Consistently regularly and predictably at work and on time
- Other duties may be assigned as needed
Qualifications :
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
