Production Lab Techs (NEW SHIFTS! 3 day schedule & shift differential pay)

Our associates are responsible for performing a variety of duties depending on their assigned department and lab needs.  Production Lab Techs help expedite job orders throughout the manufacturing process in a timely and efficient manner in order to serve our customers.

Responsibilities involve observing data on job orders sorting and organizing job orders RF scanning and other department specific tasks.

We have production positions available in our Surface AR (Anti-Reflective) and Finish Departments.

Surface tech duties include:

• Backside coating - making sure lens is clean spraying wiping lens and loading in machine
• Blocking and Deblocking block prep
• Machine operation taping generating polishing
• Lens washing - removing lens from block rinsing washing and drying lens to remove debris

AR tech duties include:

• Sorting lenses cleaning and inspecting for imperfections
• Clean dirty rings in ultrasonic cleaner and rinsing
• Sandblasting sectors and panels
• Loading lenses into sectors and placing in machines
• Removing sectors download lenses back to matching trays visually inspecting
• Operating and cleaning AR coating machine

Finish tech duties include:

• Sorting trays edging beveling
• Tinting - placing lens in holder and tinting to specified color
• Mounting - inserting lenses into various frames clean visually inspect
• Final inspection - check lens for defects correct power axis prism and compliance with ANSI standards
• Shipping - scanning bagging sorting and preparing customer orders for shipping

Qualifications :

• No specific education required
• No specific experience required for entry level but prior mass production machine operation or assembly experience is preferred
• Prior related or optical experience is desirable
• Must be able to read and write English
