The Network Engineer plays a critical role in ensuring the Companys network infrastructure operates efficiently securely and with minimal downtime. This role has a special focus on wireless networking and network automation helping to modernize and streamline our enterprise environment while ensuring a reliable highly available and secure enterprise network.

As a core member of the Infrastructure Team the Network Engineer will support day-to-day operations and play a key role in advancing wireless and automation capabilities. This includes working with Cisco Catalyst Center Ansible and other tools to automate network patching and lifecycle management. The engineer will collaborate across IT OT and Security teams to optimize performance strengthen security posture and support both Run-the-Business operations and central initiatives.

  • Firewall Administration

  • Telecommunications Support

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Design implement maintain monitor fix and document network solutions across a multi-site hybrid environment.

  • Support architecture design implementation and compliance efforts for effective network security.

  • Collaborate with various functions including OT Network IT Security and Audit to achieve business and technical objectives.

  • Work closely with Project Management defining vital project achievements and timelines for successful implementations.

  • Lead contractors and business partners to achieve objectives and ensure successful delivery of support SLAs and project timelines.

  • Support and complete network integration plans for newly acquired companies or functions.

  • Research and anticipate networking industry trends adopting relevant technologies into infrastructure and architecture roadmaps.

  • Work with a continuous improvement approach seeking automation opportunities.

Education and Experience:

  • The ideal candidate should possess a degree in computer science or a related field and have at least 7 years of networking experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • CCNP designation or work towards it is required.

  • The candidate should be forward-thinking able to work independently exercise good judgment and possess strong customer service skills.

Preferred Skills and Proficiencies:

  • Demonstrable knowledge of network technologies and concepts including routing switching firewall wireless load balancers etc.

  • Experience with Cisco Prime ISE iWAN SD-WAN LMS Cisco DNA Center Meraki Palo Alto Firewall and VPN Management.

  • Experience with Cisco solutions like Cyber Vision Stealth Watch Firepower and Cisco is valued.

  • Certifications such as CCIE CCNP CCNA CCDE are highly valued.

  • Proven success implementing projects across multi-site multi-technology platforms including solutions like SD-WAN VRFs OSPF EIGRP IGRP HSRP BGP MPLS QoS Multicast and Cloud Services.

  • Knowledge and experience with Cloud-based technologies such as AWS VPC Transit Gateways DX Azure VNET ExpressRoute.

  • Expertise in network monitoring tools.

  • Travel required for Manufacturing & Operations sites as needed for project and/or upgrade activities.

  • Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.

  • Strong collaboration and communication skills with technical and non-technical users.

Other considerations:

  • Roughly 10% travel to our Greensburg IN facility
