Job Summary
- Ensure that food presented to guests align with property standards and is served within designated timeframes whilst maintaining high quality and presentation
- Keep all working areas clean and tidy and ensure no cross-contamination
- Stay diligent in adhering to local regulations related to health safety and compliance with a solid grasp of HACCP management
- Assist other departments wherever necessary and maintain good working relationships
- Report maintenance hygiene and hazard issues
- Comply with hotel security fire regulations and all health and safety and food safety legislation
- Awareness departmental targets and strive to achieve them as part of the team
- Be environmentally aware
- Handle a range of kitchen tasks from dishwashing to crafting delectable dishes
Qualifications :
- A culinary artist with a passion for modern Asian cuisine (Experience in wok would be preferred)
- Trade qualification and experience in a similar role preferably within a hotel environment
- The ability to communicate in a clear and articulate manner
- Detail-focused with the ability to deliver consistently high-quality food under pressure
- Energetic and proactive with enthusiasm to develop your culinary expertise
- A team player who easily builds rapport with colleagues and guests alike
- Flexible and able to work a variety of shifts including evenings and weekends
