Job Summary

Were seeking an Immigration Specialist who combines hands-on visa experience with empathy precision and creativity. This role supports international employees trainees and visitors across the institution ensuring smooth and compliant immigration processes that allow great people to focus on lifesaving work.

The ideal candidate has demonstrated experience managing H-1B cases end to end applying sound judgment throughout the petition process and brings a working knowledge of J-1 and PERM processes. Youll handle a mix of straightforward and complex cases manage filings from start to finish and think critically through evolving immigration challenges. Beyond paperwork youll build trusted one-on-one relationships with employees and departments offering clear guidance and compassionate support at every step.

Youll join a tight-knit collaborative and dynamic team known for its professionalism respect and cohesion. We value both technical expertise and human understanding and we approach each case with the awareness that immigration is personal as well as procedural. The team also develops creative programming that helps international candidates connect with Memphis and feel at home in their new community.

Minimum Education and/or Training:

  • Bachelors degree required.

Minimum Experience:

  • 1 year employment-based immigration experience

  • Working knowledge of visa/immigration processes including H-1B J-1 and/or PERM

  • Experience with current and emerging immigration laws and regulations

  • Experience with LawLogix or other electronic immigration tracking system preferred

Compensation

In recognition of certain U.S. state and municipal pay transparency laws St. Jude is including a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This is an estimate offered in good faith and a specific salary offer takes into account factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets experience and training licensure and certifications and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the salary range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range is $60320 - $105040 per year for the role of Immigration Specialist I.
