Peraton is seeking a Voice Communications Workstream Product Owner. In this role you will lead the strategy development and lifecycle management of voice communication systems that form the operational backbone of the FAAs next-generation air traffic control infrastructure. This role combines product leadership market awareness and technical coordination to ensure reliable secure and innovative communications for the National Airspace System.
Responsibilities
Serve as the product owner for FAA voice communication systems overseeing the full lifecycle from concept through deployment and sustainment.
Define and execute product strategies that align with FAA modernization objectives program milestones and stakeholder needs.
Conduct market research feasibility analyses and opportunity assessments to guide new product initiatives and system enhancements.
Translate FAA operational and technical requirements into actionable product roadmaps specifications and feature sets.
Manage product performance positioning and competitive analysis to maintain market leadership and technological relevance.
Lead cross-functional collaboration with engineering program management systems integration and user experience teams to ensure successful delivery.
Develop and manage product budgets business plans and performance metrics to achieve financial and mission goals.
Drive cost reduction and margin optimization through continuous improvement and strategic sourcing.
Support marketing and communications efforts including presentations demonstrations trade shows and technical symposia.
Provide sales and capture teams with product strategy competitive intelligence and feature/benefit materials.
Conduct product training sessions and serve as a subject matter expert for internal and external stakeholders.
Represent Peraton in FAA product and program reviews providing insight into roadmap progress risks and opportunities.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizenship Required.
- Must have the ability to obtain / maintain a Public Trust clearance
- Minimum of 12 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 10 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 7 years with Ph.D.
812 years of experience in product management systems engineering or telecommunications within a federal or aviation environment.
Proven experience managing complex mission-critical communication systems or related technology portfolios.
Strong understanding of air traffic management systems FAA voice networks or similar operational communication architectures.
Demonstrated success in developing and executing product roadmaps that align with customer mission and business objectives.
Experience leading multidisciplinary teams in a highly regulated performance-driven environment.
Excellent communication analytical and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with FAA programs (BNATCS NextGen TechOps) or other aviation communication systems.
Product Management Professional (PMP AIPMM or SAFe Product Owner) certification.
Familiarity with FAA enterprise systems acquisition frameworks and NAS voice modernization initiatives.
Background in digital voice IP-based communication technologies or system integration within safety-critical environments.
