Description
The Director of Communications & Impact will be responsible for the development and implementation of both external and internal communications strategies for Communities In Schools of the Heart of Texas.
Requirements
RESPONSIBILITES
- Collaborate with the CEO in developing the communications strategy.
- Work as a collaborator with the CEO & Board of Directors in leading the organization through impact and outcome focused growth and innovation.
- Develop and implement organization-wide communications plan.
- Oversee all social media including organizations website.
- Oversee fundraising database and tracking systems.
- Assist CEO in grant development efforts.
EDUCATION
Bachelors degree in Communications Public Relations Journalism Marketing or a related field.
EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive leadership experience in communications marketing and/or journalism.
- Experience managing website content and using WordPress or other content management systems.
- Excellent writing and oral presentation skills required.
- Experience with donor databases and software.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess effectiveness of public relations.
- Must complete and clear Criminal Background Check.
