The company is seeking a Field Services Technician who will be responsible for providing customer support through the performance of on-site product/solution installation and sustainment. This includes overseeing and/or performing any necessary diagnoses and troubleshooting of software systems. Checks out and approves the operational quality of solution components. Instructs customers in the operation and maintenance of the solution. Serves as the company liaison with the customer on administrative and technical matters for assigned projects. Interprets customers needs defines next steps and clarifies the assignment of responsibility for problem resolution as needed. Includes any aspect of field support and is not limited to system hardware software network and other technical infrastructure components.
Responsibilities:
Support the Military Sealift Command (MSC) Afloat business systems. Responsible for installing configuring and updating MSC business system application software onboard MSC ships using systems operational procedures to ensure appropriate functioning of software or system functional specifications. Analyzes troubleshoots and resolves issues related to the installation and configuration of application software. The candidate will also be responsible for creating software installation documentation related to the installation and post-installation operational/functional testing. Be able to perform application upgrades patching and updates to maintain cybersecurity compliance and software optimization. Be able to collaborate with developers network engineers and other technicians for software performance optimization and system integration on different networks. Have good communication skills to liaise with and support customers and software users. The ideal candidate is willing to travel internationally. Software installation will be onboard ships.
Qualifications:
Required:- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Computer Information Systems or other relevant degree fields.
- U.S. Citizen with a minimum Secret Clearance
- Possess one of the following certifications
- CertNexus or Logical Operations Inc: CFR.
- Cisco: CCNA-Security CCNP-Security or SCYBER.
- CompTIA: A CE CASP CE Cloud CE CySA Network CE PenTest or Security CE.
- EC-Council: CEH CCISO CHFI or CND.
- GIAC: GCIA GCED GCFA GCIH GICSP GSEC GSLC or GSNA.
- (ISC)2: CISSP CSSLP CAP ISSAP ISSEP ISSMP SSCP CCSP or HCISPP. (ISACA): CISM or CISA.
