Could you be the full-time Application Design Engineer inBucharest Romaniawere looking for

Take on a new challenge and apply your your expertise in a new cutting-edge field. Youll report to Alexandru and work alongside dynamic adaptable and forward-thinking teammates. Youll perform design application activities related to interlocking for Central and East Europe projects. Day-to-day youll work closely with teams across the business (such as Project Managers Technical Leads and teams from other sites) contribute to the development of interlocking software modules and much more.

Youll specifically take care of preparing and performing interlocking sub-system module tests but also supporting hardware/software integration activities.

Well look to you for:

  • Contributing to the elaboration of interlocking (IXL) sub-system specifications and architecture in collaboration with the interlocking architect.
  • Following the design tool chain and internal processes and standards.
  • Developing interlocking software modules.
  • Preparing and performing interlocking sub-system module tests and verifications (Designer tests).
  • Supporting hardware/software integration with the hardware designer.
  • Contributing to workload estimations for your deliverables.
  • Driving continuous improvement through return of experience and process enhancement.

Qualifications:

  • University degree in Engineering (Transportation Systems Electronics Telecommunications Software Engineering Computer Science or equivalent).
  • Teamwork and communication skills.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic work environment.
  • Basic knowledge of railway signalling principles.
  • Good analytical skills.
  • Understanding and experience in software coding.
  • Proficiency in English; French would be an advantage.
  • Basic knowledge of ITC hardware architectures (client/server workstation/blade IP networking routing operating systems).
