Role Overview

Were looking for a data-savvy Analyst to join our fast-paced impact-driven this role youll transform raw data into actionable insights helping drive smart decision-making across the business.
This is a cross-functional role for someone who thrives on digging deep into data translating business problems into analytical questions and delivering insights that shape the future of Calo.

Main Responsibilities

Data Reporting & system processes

• Create reports and maintain interactive dashboards to monitor business performance.
• Develop KPIs for various teams and initiatives.

• Optimize Data Collection Systems and Reporting Processes
• Set up automated reports that update with the latest data.
• Ensure reports are accurate timely and tailored to stakeholder needs.

Strategic Data Analysis

• Convert business goals into actionable data queries and identify optimization opportunities.
• Proactively analyze data to uncover areas for improvement and growth.

Interactions

• Partner closely with chefs nutritionists and food operations staff.
• Understand their unique data needs and challenges.
• Provide tailored analyses and insights to support menu development and operations.
• Create clear documentation for automated data workflows and processes.

ETL Development process & Database Query Language

• Develop maintain and optimize SQL queries and scripts to automate data extraction transformation and loading (ETL) from Metabase and other internal data sources.
• Ensuring the food team has timely and accurate access to insights for decision-making.

Data Quality & Management

• Clean Validate and manage datasets for accuracy and relevance before analysis.

Clear Communication & Effective Presentation of Insights

• Summarize and Present results through visualizations presentations and reports.
• Communicate effectively with both technical teams and leadership.

Project Leadership analysis

• Lead or Support Project-Based Analysis Initiatives
• Collaborate cross-functionally on MVPs and strategic initiatives.
• Provide data-driven recommendations to guide project decisions.

Innovation & Business Growth

• Be updated on industry trends and emerging technologies in data analytics.
• Propose and implement innovative solutions to business challenges.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement through data-driven thinking.

Ideal Candidate

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in data analytics ideally in a fast-paced or startup environment.
• Bachelors degree in Mathematics Economics Computer Science Business Information Management or related field.

Knowledge & Competency

• Strong knowledge of SQL confident writing complex queries independently
• Proficient with data visualization and spreadsheet tools (Google Sheets Excel)
• Familiarity with statistical analysis and a solid grasp of basic data modeling concepts
• Excellent analytical thinking and a problem-solving mindset with high attention to detail
• Able to communicate data-driven insights clearly both visually and verbally
• Comfortable working cross-functionally and independently with minimal supervision
• Experience with BI tools (Looker Tableau Power BI) or scripting languages (Python R)
