Float Pool - Critical Care (Day Shift)

Location: Utica NY 13502
Duration: 13 week
Shift: Day; 6:30 AM -7 PM
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
Weekly Pay Rate: $2088 - $2268; (Negotiable based on experience)

Position Summary:

The Float Pool Critical Care RN will provide high-quality nursing care across multiple critical care units including ICU and step-down areas. The RN will adapt quickly to various clinical settings uphold patient safety standards and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver optimal outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in accordance with established protocols and best practices.
Float between assigned critical care units as needed to meet patient care demands.
Monitor assess and document patient conditions using Epic EMR.
Administer medications perform procedures and manage life-support equipment as appropriate.
Collaborate with physicians and the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
Provide education and support to patients and families regarding treatment and recovery.
Ensure compliance with hospital policies safety standards and infection control guidelines.

Required Requirements:

Experience: Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required.
Licensure: Active New York RN license (all active RN licenses must be verified).
Certifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- NIH Stroke Scale Certification (NIHSS)
EMR: Experience with Epic preferred.
Floating: Required this is a float position across critical care areas.
