Assistant Resident Engineer Consulting Industry

RPO Recruitments client a multidisciplinary engineering consultancy is seeking an Assistant Engineers Representative to support the delivery of a 12-month Labour-Intensive Construction (LIC) bridge project in the Eastern Cape. Accommodation will be provided and approved travel expenses will be reimbursed.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the Engineers Representative with supervision and contract administration for LIC bridge works
• Oversee daily site activities including quality control quantity verification and record keeping
• Review drawings method statements and HSE documentation
• Coordinate with inspectors survey teams and materials testing personnel
• Support stakeholder engagement and ensure compliance with LIC methods
• Contribute to progress reporting certification inputs snagging and project close-out

Requirements:

• BTech/BEngTech or National Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognised South African institution
• Labour-Intensive Construction unit standard (NQF Level 5 SAQA-accredited) qualification
• ECSA registration as Pr Tech Eng or Pr Techni Eng
• Minimum of 4 years post-graduate site experience including at least one completed bridge construction project in a lead or representative role
• Full-time site presence for the project duration
• Reliable organised proactive and able to work independently with strong communication and reporting skills
