VirtuCare is a urologist-led innovative and rapidly scaling healthcare company based in Nashville TN. Were rethinking how specialty care is delivered in rural and community hospitals across the country.

Were seeking an exceptional urologist to relocate to the Lexington / Central Kentucky area for a hybrid position that blends meaningful telemedicine work with limited predictable travel.

From your home base in Lexington youll spend most of your time providing virtual mentorship and consultative support to advanced practice providers (APPs) in several of our partner hospitals. Theres no billing test ordering or busyworkjust focused clinical collaboration that allows you to practice at the top of your license.

Then 48 days each month youll travel to partner hospitals to perform on-site surgical and procedural care. Cases are primarily bread-and-butter urology with opportunities to perform more complex procedures such as robotic or pelvic surgery based on your comfort and experience.

Requirements

Education & Licensure

MD or DO; Board Certified or Board Eligible in Urology.
We will assist with licensure as needed.

Clinical Skills

Competent in core general urology procedures such as:
- Cystoscopy TURP TURBT ureteroscopy stent placement lithotripsy
- Hydrocelectomy vasectomy prostate biopsy suprapubic catheter placement
Strong telehealth and communication skills for structured virtual consults.

Professional Attributes

Clean background
Collaborative and adaptable in community hospital settings.
Mission-driven patient-centered and comfortable working with APP-led models.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience mentoring APPs or practicing in rural/community settings.
Subspecialty interests (BPH prosthetics oncology female pelvic health).
Familiarity with hybrid (on-site telehealth) practice models.

Required Skills:

Education & Licensure MD or DO; Board Certified or Board Eligible in Urology. Active or eligible medical license in Tennessee or Kentucky.
