PATIENT INFORMATION
Patient Demographics: Pediatric population
Patient Volume/Census: Average of 150 patients per day within the Pediatric ER
Admissions: Included in inpatient responsibilities
Rounding: Included
Phone Consults: As required for patient management
Case Mix: Pediatric emergency medicine cases; oversight of PA/NP team; high acuity ER environment

Office Equipment Available: X-ray equipment respiratory therapy support social work pharmacy onsite
Specialty Backup Available: Full pediatric ER team including 4 physicians and 5 NP/PA providers
Support Staff Available: Ancillary teams respiratory therapists social workers and pharmacists

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Licenses: Active Florida medical license
Board: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics or Pediatric Emergency Medicine
DEA: Active DEA Certification required
Certifications: BLS (AHA) PALS (AHA) NICA membership or proof of receipt required
Experience: Pediatric Emergency Medicine experience required
Other Qualifications: Submission materials must include current CV NPDB report (within 3 months) and case logs for 24 inpatient records within the past 12 months (primary source only not personal logs)
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide direct inpatient pediatric emergency medicine care during assigned shifts
Supervise and oversee PA/NP teams during clinical hours
Perform required emergency procedures and ensure appropriate patient management
Maintain accurate documentation in the EMR and hospital systems
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality pediatric emergency care
