This is a full-time on-site role for a Senior Water Resources Engineer located in Thomasville GA within driving distance of Tallahassee FL.
Overview:The Water Resources Engineer will be responsible for day-to-day tasks stormwater management water quality analysis hydrologic and hydraulic analysis water distribution and wastewater collection. The Water Resources Engineer will prepare reports conduct site assessments and surveys and design and oversee construction projects.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Reviews complete project documents for conformity and quality assurance.
- Contributes to the continual improvement of processes and deliverables.
- Assists management and staff as a technical specialist or advisor.
- Supervises all staff necessary to complete assignments.
- Reviews and approves scopes budgets and schedules for assignments.
- Prepares proposals to provide professional services or obtain funding for engineering projects or programs.
- Receives supervision and guidance relating to overall objectives critical issues new concepts and policy matters.
- Receives direction on unusual conditions and developments.
- May transport materials including samples supplies and survey equipment.
- Travels to clients consultants job sites agencies and work locations as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in engineering from an ABET/EAC accredited program.
- Professional Engineer Registration (FL GA or able to obtain within 6 months).
- 8 years of experience.
- Water Resource Management and Hydrology skills
- Stormwater and Stormwater Management skills
- Experience in water quality analysis
- Experience designing and managing construction projects related to water resources
- Proficiency in relevant software including AutoCAD ICPR4 ArcGIS and Civil 3D
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Civil Engineering Environmental Engineering or related field
- Professional Engineering (PE) License is preferred
Relevant skills and qualifications that would be beneficial include experience with erosion and sediment controls familiarity with state and federal regulations related to water resources and experience working on projects in the Southeast US.
