Job Summary:
Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor the Warehouse Assistant will be responsible for tasks such as shipping and receiving maintaining cleanliness and organization in the warehouse conducting inventory counts assembling kits and packaging of hazardous materials.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Package crate and ship products and materials to fulfill orders.
- Weigh and label finished products for shipment ensuring proper documentation.
- Receive incoming shipments inspect for damages and verify quantities.
- Inspect and record MRO materials and supplies.
- Gather all necessary MRO parts and materials for kit assembly. Assemble kits according to specifications.
- Operate machinery and equipment for pouring and packaging products.
- Operate forklifts and reach trucks to move stack and retrieve products.
- Conduct regular inventory counts to maintain accurate stock levels. Identify and report discrepancies or shortages.
- Keep the warehouse clean and organized to optimize space and workflow.
- Adhere to safety procedures and standard operating procedures (SOPs) established by the company.
- Carry out additional duties and special projects as assigned by management.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of MRO materials and inventory management systems.
- Proficient in reading and comprehending written and oral instructions and training materials.
- Capable of wearing necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) and following safety protocols.
- Possess exceptional attention to detail.
- Demonstrate the ability to prioritize tasks and handle multiple responsibilities efficiently.
Education and Experience:
- Previous experience is highly preferred; however training will be provided.
- The ability to operate a forklift is required.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to routinely lift and/or move 50 lbs. unassisted.
- Will be frequently required to stand and walk; use hands and fingers to handle and feel items; reach with hands and arms; stoop bend kneel crouch and crawl.
- Be able to perform job tasks in dusty hot and/or cold working conditions.
