We are looking for aBusiness Services Team Leaderto join our Property Asset and Compliance team.

About the role
Reporting to the Business Services Manager you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality customer-focused services across our housing property portfolio.
You will lead on the coordination and resolution of customer complaints Freedom of Information (FOI) requests councillor enquiries and complex service issues ensuring all matters are handled with empathy professionalism and efficiency. Your work will promote a culture of accountability learning and continuous improvement.
You will provide support and supervision to a team of Compliance Business Support Officers and Resident Liaison and Project Co-ordinators enabling them to deliver responsive and effective services.
In addition you will oversee a range of business functions including raising work orders processing invoices and maintaining accurate records.
The role demands strong organisational skills attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
This is a key position that underpins the councils statutory and regulatory responsibilities playing a vital role in ensuring our housing assets and services meet stringent legal and safety standards.
Operating within a high-risk and increasingly regulated environment the role requires resilience adaptability and a proactive approach to compliance and risk management.
You will be instrumental in safeguarding the quality safety and integrity of our housing services making a meaningful impact on the lives of our residents while navigating complex challenges with confidence and professionalism.
About you
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess the following:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with a range of stakeholders.
Proficiency in IT systems particularly Microsoft Office applications including Word Outlook Excel and Teams.
Due to the rural nature of the districts a full clean driving licence and access to a vehicle is required as occasional travel to different sites may be necessary.
