LOCATION: London Television Centre Hybrid
PROPOSED SALARY RANGE: 110000 - 120000 plus 5441 London Weighting and up to 25% bonus depending on relevant skills knowledge and experience. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

This role leads the financial strategy for BBC Studios corporate services ensuring alignment with strategic priorities. It drives operational excellence and continuous improvement across complex business areas including major projects and budget management. By fostering a culture of value creation it supports robust cost control risk management and investment decision-making to deliver long-term impact.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND IMPACT:

• Lead long-term financial strategy and act as a trusted advisor to senior BBC Studios leaders.
• Deliver insight-driven analysis to support transformation and strategic decision-making.
• Manage and develop a high-performing finance team fostering continuous improvement.
• Drive financial performance through cost scrutiny savings tracking and benchmarking.
• Ensure robust financial controls compliance and accurate forecasting across central functions.
• Oversee finance for major contracts SLAs and technology investment projects.
• Champion innovation and change including AI opportunities and process optimisation.

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:

• Qualified accountant (ACA ACCA CIMA or equivalent) with senior finance leadership experience.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to influence at executive level.
• Proven track record in managing FP&A teams and delivering financial performance in complex matrixed multinational environments.
• Deep understanding of central service functions and cost centre management across corporate areas.
• Experience in financial systems controls and interpreting complex data from multiple sources for presentation to diverse stakeholders.
• Skilled in reporting budgeting forecasting CAPEX cash flow headcount and transformation programme finance workstreams.
• Proficient in financial tools and systems (e.g. SAP Hyperion Anaplan Power BI).
