Job Summary
DCSAM is seeking a Skilled Highway Technician that can perform a variety of tasks related to the day-to-day maintenance servicing repair of roadways and other infrastructure assets. As an employee of DCS Asset Management you will need to have an eye for detail all while upholding our companys morals and principles as well as adhering to all applicable federal state and local regulations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Creates safe Maintenance of Traffic; control by setup and removal of traffic control devices including cones message/arrow boards temporary signage etc.

- Maintain and repair highway and other surfaces including potholes striping adding or replacing reflectors delineators working with concrete and asphalt.
- Maintains clean appearance of highways and medians through litter and debris removal and disposal (may use litter claw or another device).
- Repairs/maintains functionality of slopes berms culverts drains etc. through use of shovels and other hand or power tools and equipment.
- Controls vegetation appearance and growth through use of lawn mowing equipment hand or power trimmers and chemical sprayers and other methods.
- Maintains the appearance and functionality of signs guardrails fence and lighting through repair and/or replacement using hand or power tools.
- Transport crew and equipment to work sites operating vehicle pickup trucks and specialized motor vehicles and trailers.
- Responsible for the proper management preventative maintenance and repair of trucks and equipment.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications :
Experience:
- At least 18 years of age or older.
- Must have a valid drivers license with at least 3 years of clean driving.
- Must have a Commercial Drivers license Class A or B.
- Minimum of 2 years of related roadway/highway maintenance or construction and/or related equipment experience.
- Ability to operate hand and power tools.
- Must be available to be on the on-call rotation for emergency response.
- Must have excellent verbal and nonverbal communication skills.
- Must be comfortable working from various heights.
- Advanced MOT certified preferred.
- First aid and CPR certified preferred.
