Job Description
AECOM is seeking a Senior Transit (Bus) Engineer to be based in the Green Bay Milwaukee Madison Oshkosh or Stevens Point Wisconsin locations to join our growing transit engineering practice.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Be a design lead on preliminary design studies and final design of Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) projects.
- Coordinate cooperate and work collaboratively with other team members.
- Assists with the engineering design of Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) projects including the design of BRT transit guideways BRT stations and pedestrian facilities.
- Lead a team preparing engineering calculations and developing drawings and visual aids for BRT infrastructure.
- Reviews designs calculations sketches diagrams schematic drawings and final working drawings.
- Support the business development of the AECOM Bus Rapid Transit Design to the development of reports and documentation needed for the pursuit of federal grants.
- Perform work following an agreed-upon budget and schedule with little supervision.
Qualifications :
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- BA/BS 8 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
- Professional Engineers License.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience working with AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or Bentley MicroStation/OpenRoads Designer/OpenRail Designer.
- Experience in engineering design projects for WisDOT the City of Madison urban municipalities and/or transit agencies.
- Experience designing transit (ideally BRT infrastructure) and/or transportation infrastructure.
- Experience with oversight of junior staff.
- Experience with working between Revit and OpenRoads or Civil 3D.
- Experience with business development and client relations.
- Desire to help shape high quality transit systems in cities across the United States.
- Able to work out of our Middleton Wisconsin office.
Additional Information :
- Offered rate of compensation (Middleton WI and statewide.) area only will be based on individual education qualifications experience and work location. The annual salary for this opportunity is $140000.00 - $190000.00.
- U.S. work sponsorship is not offered with this opportunity.
- Occasional travel may be required.
