TRATON Research & Development (R&D) is undergoing a major transformation to establish a strong global Group R&D organization. Our goal is to deliver a time-critical roadmap deliver outstanding customer value and drive innovation across our brandsScania MAN INTERNATIONAL and Volkswagen Truck & Bus. This transformation will strengthen our competitiveness and position Group R&D as a key business partner within TRATON Group. We are now looking for you to be part of this exciting change journey shaping the future of Group R&D.
Your tasks
- Lead the design and continuous improvement oflightingcomponents
- Ensure compliance with all technical specifications legislationand industry standards
- Collaborate with system architects and other engineering teams to integrate lightning components into the vehicle
- Define and execute validation tests including Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) and in-vehicle testing
- Act as the technical interface for international suppliers
- Monitor development progress to ensure quality timing and milestone adherence
- Analyze and resolve technical issues during development and in the field
- Continuously enhance component performance based on test results and user feedback
- Create and maintain technical documentation for components
- Provide regular updates and reports to project stakeholders
Your Profile
- Bachelors or masters degree in electrical engineering mechatronics or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experiencein lighting componentdevelopment or a similar role
- Experience working in international and cross-functional teams
- Strong knowledge oflightingcomponents especially for heavy duty vehicles
- Experience with system integration and validation in the automotive sector
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Intercultural competence and ability to collaborate across time zones
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Fluent in English written and spoken
