THE ROLE

The Infrastructure Shared Service (ISS) team is a critical international organization responsible for Pure Storages entire engineering infrastructure development environment and production services across multiple data centers and public clouds. As a Cloud Platform Engineer you will be instrumental in elevating the capabilities reliability security and performance of our most critical infrastructure and applications. You will move beyond maintenance to focus on outcomes leveraging data to derive insights designing and implementing new platform features and building the tools and services that automate and improve our multi-cloud environment. Your mission is to empower all internal engineering teams to focus on delivering high-quality products to our customers by providing robust highly available and self-service infrastructure. We are seeking passionate engineers with a strong blend of software and Public Cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP) skills who are experts in infrastructure-as-code and cloud governance at scale.

WHAT YOULL DO

• Drive efficiency and compliance by designing and implementing Cloud Governance at scale enforcing security baselines and automating infrastructure provisioning using advanced Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform CloudFormation Cloud Custodian).
• Ensure continuous availability and performance of our large-scale multi-cloud environment by owning and improving systems that meet defined SLAs and SLOs.
• Increase business value by creating and implementing tools and processes that empower asset owners to significantly improve cloud cost efficiency and resource utilization across the organization.
• Own the Cloud infrastructure lifecycle for production and non-production environments including major deployments upgrades and advanced functions like incident problem and capacity management.
• Accelerate feature delivery by collaborating with project managers and engineering teams to ensure critical time-sensitive infrastructure projects run smoothly and achieve their intended business outcomes.
• Elevate team knowledge by developing comprehensive documentation and runbooks that streamline operations and maintenance for the entire Cloud infrastructure.

WHAT YOU BRING

• 5 years of essential experience as a Cloud Engineer or SRE engineer with a focus on AWS services (EC2 VPC TransitGateway S3 CloudWatch System Manager etc.).
• Deep expertise in Kubernetes experience in troubleshooting complex issues in production environments (EKS/AKS knowledge preferred).
• Proficiency in Terraform for managing the full Cloud infrastructure lifecycle and demonstrable experience with the AWS governance framework (Organization SCP Control Tower) for baseline enforcement.
• Experience with multi-cloud environments specifically designing or maintaining enterprise-grade Azure landing zones (Virtual Machines AKS Azure AD Azure Policy etc.).
• Proficiency in a modern cloud programming language such as Python or Go and experience building and maintaining cloud-native applications.
• Strong experience with modern DevOps tools (ArgoCD Docker GitHub) and hands-on experience utilizing observability/monitoring platforms (Prometheus Grafana Thanos or ELK) for debugging and performance analysis.
• Ability to work in a 24x7 on-call rotation and lead incident management coupled with a systematic problem-solving approach and exceptional analytical and collaboration skills.
• Experience of collaboration with Global team (ability to attend later afternoon or occasionally evening meetings)
• We are primarily an in-office environment and therefore you will be expected to work from the Prague Czech Republic office in compliance with Pures policies unless you are on PTO or work travel or other approved leave.
